According to the Egyptian Government statement, the classes starting from 2018-2019 will have to undergo 2 years of practical training after 5 years of medicine study. The regulation stated that the 5 years undergraduate study of medicine will be followed by 2 years of practical training after which the students must qualify an examination that will determine their potential as professional doctors. The 2 years of practical training will be counted as 2 years of professional experience in the country. The government statement also made it clear allowing the students to take a transfer in another university or pursue internship in another country. However, the students are advised to read the country guidelines before making up their mind to leave Egypt and pursue internship in another country.
The average annual tuition fee for MBBS in Egypt is 6,000 USD. The first year expenses may be high and goes around 11,000 USD and it is 6000 USD from 2nd year onwards.
