NEET PG Counselling Procedure for MS MD Punjab

All aspirants of NEET PG medical courses offered in Punjab are needed to go through counselling process. As per the regulations given by the government, candidates need to take an entrance exam which will make them sit for the counselling process in Punjab. Counselling for Punjab is going to be conducted online. However, candidates will have to report in person to visit the designated help centers for verification of documents and admission confirmation.

Punjab NEET PG  Counselling  Process will be conducted after the declaration of result. It is conducted by the Department of Medical education,Government of Punjab and Research of Baba Farid University. The admissions will be based on the candidates’ NEET rank / scores in Punjab into all dental and medical colleges . The candidates should take exams in the written form to qualify for admission in the non government and state government medical and dental colleges of Punjab.

 Medical Counselling process eligibility criteria

Candidates should be registered with the Medical Council of India or the State Medical Council.

  • Candidates need to have a one-year compulsory Rotary Internship from an MCI-recognised institution.
  • Candidates will be eligible if they have completed their MBBS from one of the Punjab MBBS colleges or are bonafide residents of the state.
  • Candidates need to qualify the NEET PG exams, as admissions are based on the scores you got in NEET PG exams.
  • Candidates should have registered for counselling session of Punjab NEET 

Online Registration

  • Candidates who wish to participate within the counselling of Punjab NEET PG need to register online on the official website. To register online, they need to purchase a 14-digit PIN which will initiate the application form.
  • The PIN can be purchased online/offline by paying certain amount of sum . The 5-digit serial number of this PIN would become the user ID for the candidate.

 Verification of Documents

 After completing the registration process, candidates were required to report back to the assistance  Help Centre with their documents. The authorities at these centres verify the authenticity of the documents and determine their eligibility for participating in Punjab NEET PG counselling.

 Choice Filling

 Candidates who are listed within the State Merit list can fill their choices of preferred course/college into the preference form. To submit their choices, they're going to need to login to the registered accounts on the official website of Punjab PG medical counselling. There's no cap on the amount of choices which will be submitted by a candidate. Thus, they're  advised to fill in as many choices as they can before submitting the preference form.

Seat Allotment

The result for every round of Punjab NEET PG counselling is released within the sort of a seat allotment list. The factors that are considered while preparing a seat allotment list are the marks obtained in NEET PG, the position of the candidate within the state merit list and  the choices filled by them within the preference form.

 Reporting

Candidates will have to report back to the allotted institute and verify documents. After verification of the document, bank challan will be issued by the head of the institute for the deposition of the fee.

 Fee deposit

 It is the last step of the counselling process to deposit the tuition fee in the bank.

  • Signature
  • Internship certificate
  • NEET PG admit card 
  • Domicile certificate
  • Affidavit that candidate is not taking advantage of domicile of other states
  • Caste certificate
  • PwD certificate, if applicable.
  • MBBS Certificate
  • Medical registration certificate
