MD/MS:
To get admission in the Master of Surgery (MS) course, candidates have to complete MBBS from a medical college which is recognised by MCI. Candidates who have passed their bachelor’s degree with 50 per cent of marks are qualified for this course. However, the percentage can differ from one college to another.
In MD in the General Medicine course, candidates have to complete MBBS/BAMS with a minimum score of 50 per cent, with a one-year compulsory internship. Also, at least a total score of 60 percent is required at the graduation level. Also, candidates have to be qualified for an institute, national or state-level entrance test for admission to the course.
You have to clear a tough nationwide entrance examination if you want to be enrolled. You have to pay a large sum of capitation fees for getting admission in most private institutions which are unaccounted for.Getting admission to a government institution may be a difficult job especially getting your choice of institution/branch.
Three different types- Clinical, Non-Clinical, and Paraclinical.
The difference among them is whether or not you’re providing direct patient care in terms of giving direct diagnosis or treatment. Clinical specialisation includes face to face interaction with patients while non-clinical roles can require interaction with patients but they do not provide diagnoses in some cases.
